Caroline Wise graduated magna cum laude from Kansas State University with a degree in Secondary Education, English Language Arts. After obtaining her master's degree in Gifted Education from Maryville University in St. Louis, she taught gifted education on the middle school level for five years: English language arts, social studies and enrichment courses. She was named "Most Inspirational Middle School Teacher" by two National Merit Finalists.

Wise's certifications include Gifted (PreK-12 grade), as well as Social Studies and English Language Arts on the secondary level. 

Wise has extensive online teaching an consulting experience. She taught English as a second language for three years and classes for gifted students for seven years and counting. She consulted for four online education startups. Wise is known for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in online education, be it new technology or class formats.
